UW Milwaukee Chemistry Building Site Restoration & Quad Construction

In general, the work consists of: The Campus Quad site restoration and quad construction will replace the existing Chemistry Building after its demolition and become a premier destination for events, gathering, studying, and passive recreation in the heart of the Southwest Quadrant of the UW Milwaukee campus. This portion of the project will include regrading, installation of grass, shrubs, and trees along with installation of sidewalks, concrete benches, underground site drainage, site fencing, artificial turf, and both concrete and brick retaining wall construction. The project also includes installation of lighting and power outlets in the campus quad area, fire hydrant relocations, storm sewer and video surveillance.

PRE-BID CONFERENCE: A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 1:00 PM at UW Milwaukee Engelmann Hall Room 105. Engelmann Hall is located at 2033 East Hartford Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53211. The conference and walk-through is scheduled for the purpose of acquainting prospective bidders with the site conditions and special requirements of the project. All bidders are encouraged to attend this Pre-Bid Conference and no separate tours will be conducted. Walkthroughs of the site and existing building will take place after the pre-bid conference. Representatives from the A/E's office will be available to take questions for answer in addendum. Prospective bidders are asked to familiarize themselves with the project documents and requirements prior to the conference and walkthrough. Contact person Koby Scheel, (414) 290-3804.
